Montpellier coach Rene Girard has urged his players to seize their chance in the Ligue 1 title race and insisted it was "this year or never" for his team.
Girard's team are second in the table, one point behind big-spending Paris St Germain with 11 games to go.
Remaining in second at the end of the campaign would be a great achievement for La Paillade, but Girard is determined to do even more and claimed PSG's financial muscle did not intimidate him.
"The challenge is to be up at the top as long as possible," Girard told www.lequipe.fr.
"All I can say to players is: 'Do all you can so you have no regrets'. If Paris were stronger than us there would be nothing to say, but for now, this is not the case.
"Paris are not better than us. We will continue to improve, and we'll see. Even if it is not destined for us to win the title, when we see where we are, we must be ambitious. This is the year - the year to do something or we will never do it."
Nancy are just above the bottom three in a very congested lower half of the table.
Only five points separate the bottom eight and Nancy will be looking to build on last weekend's 1-1 draw at Nice and the 2-0 win over Lyon the previous week.
A win against Montpellier could help boost Jean Fernandez's side up the table as fellow strugglers Sochaux and Nice play each other on Sunday.
